Planned Email Database Maintenance - Thursday 20th November Midnight-7:00am - UPDATE
This is an update to the planned maintenance announcement regarding the above work that was due to be carried out this morning.
Unfortunately we encountered problems during the rollout and have had to postpone the maintenance until a later date.
We will post a revised announcement once another time slot for the work has been confirmed.

Broadband Network Speeds - UPDATE
This is an update to the previous posts regarding slow speeds across our broadband network.
We have continued to make adjustments to our broadband platform in order to improve on the packet drop and slow speed issues that are being reported.
It seems from reports that these issues continue to improve, as such we will monitor for the next couple of days and provide an update on Friday afternoon, unless anything noteworthy happens in the mean time.
Kind Regards,
Matt Taylor

Planned Email Database Maintenance - Thursday 20th November Midnight-7:00am
When's this work happening?
During the early hours of tomorrow morning.
What does it affect?
Email delivery & access to our website.
How long will it take?
About 7 hours.
What does the work involve?
We have identified a number of discrepancies that exist within our mail delivery database where customers' mailboxes are corrupted in our back-end systems or do not exist. We will be correcting some of these errors in preparation of the migration to our new IronPort anti-spam platform.
Is it likely to cause problems?
Customers will be unable to access our website during the maintenance window and holding pages will be in place. There are also a number of broken mailboxes in the system that will be fixed as a result of this work. A small number of customers may notice that they start receiving messages to mailboxes that were not previously working correctly. You can block email sent to addresses you do not use by setting up a black hole for the address in question. Details on how to do this can be found on the help pages available on our website - http://users.plus.net/QL:6D9710F8
Is there anything else I need to know?
Further details regarding our plans for the email platform can be found over on our Community Site - http://community.plus.net/blog/2008/11/04/ironport_technical/
Kind Regards,
Bob Pullen
