Summary: Performance and sessions graphs for our Webspace servers.
The graphs here show the response times, load and actual 'sessions' of our Webspace servers. These are the 'homepages' that customers can use to upload files and images to create and host a webpage. Each coloured line shows the status of an individual server. These graphs are updated automatically every 30 minutes. Load: For the homepages servers this is usually a very low number (less than 1), meaning that when a request comes into the server it gets processed immediately. Our engineers use these graphs to spot any unusual activity that might indicate a problem with a server.
Response (HTTP delay): The time taken to respond to an incoming request and serve the page or image file. Note that transfer across the internal and external Internet would increase the time taken for the page to actually download, but this graph allows us to ensure our servers are working optimally.
Server Sessions: The following graphs show recorded sessions for our Homepage servers. Here we define a session as being a unique network connection that is held open in order to transfer data; someone viewing a customer's webpage for example. Customers uploading content via FTP to the servers will also show sessions here. Load-balancing means that what is shown here is effectively 6 servers data drawn over the top of each other to appear as one line. For example, if the graph shows 150 sessions in the y-axis, you can calculate that for the platform as a whole, approximately 900 sessions have been supported. The graphs show data for the past 24 hours, the past week and the past month.
