How to add extra usage
We know that sometimes you might need more usage, for example if you're working from home or the kids are off school. That's why we make it easy to increase your allowance.
On Options 2, 3 and Pro, extra usage is just 75p per GB if you add it upfront or £1 per GB if you just pay for any extra as you use it. On Option 1 and our Essential product, extra usage upfront is £1 per GB and £1.25 per GB if you just pay for any extra as you use it.
If you know you don't want to pay any extra you can set a price limit. If you reach this limit, we'll restrict your speeds to 128k and certain types of usage - Usenet, peer-to-peer and FTP - are blocked until you are next billed. A limit is set as standard if you choose one of our standard Broadband Your Way options.
Network Management
We know that everyone uses the Internet differently. Some people just surf the web, other people are into downloading or playing games. We prioritise traffic differently on each of our Broadband Your Way options so that you can find an option that suits you, whatever you like to do online. Read more about how we prioritise traffic

Glossary
Usage Allowance
This is how much usage you can use each month. Usage between 8am-midnight counts towards your usage allowance and you can add more if you need to. Don't know what a GB is?
Contract Length
We don't want to force you stay by tying you into a long contract. We'd rather convince you to stay by giving you good service. That's why all options come with a 1-month contract.
Peer-to-peer/Binary Usenet
Each option gives a different level of performance on peer-to-peer/Binary USENET. This includes filesharing software such as BitTorrent and Morpheus, and services such as Giganews and Newzbin.
Overnight Usage
Any usage between midnight-8am doesn't count towards your allowance. That makes it a perfect time to schedule large downloads and software updates.
Surfing/Streaming
This includes web browsing, online radio and services such as YouTube, 4oD and Kontiki.
Broadband Phone
This is our VoIP service, letting you save money by making phone calls over your broadband connection.
Hardware
You can get a free router and free activation if you stay with us for 12 months.
Gaming
This means games such as World of Warcraft and online games consoles - not games played in your web browser such as Yahoo Pool.
VPN
A VPN is a virtual private network often used to let employees access company networks from home.
