Web Analyst

PlusNet plc are currently recruiting for a Web Analyst within their e-Marketing Department based in Sheffield.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Web Analysis and Administration
• Generate daily KPI's from our 'Webtrends' reporting system and interpret those into activities for the rest of e-Marketing.
• Administer and configure our 'Webtrends' reporting system as required to ensure the data collected is accurate and reliable.
• Work closely with the Network Operations team to ensure the system is working as defined.
• Work closely with the Web Designers and Portal Developers to ensure reporting is collected accurately and to begin to understand the habits of our customers.
• Identify shortfalls in our current web portals from usage patterns and recommend action.

Campaign Implementation and Measurement
• Work with the rest of e-Marketing on their campaign strategies.
• Perform analysis on the customer database to provide information and recommendations to develop customer segmentation, targeting and propensity modeling.
• Post-campaign measurement (to determine response, conversion and return on marketing investment), feedback and recommendations.
• Assist the team to deliver tactical lead generation programs for the Company.
• Assist the team to increase customer numbers in line with business targets.

Search Engine Optimisation
• Co-ordinate and implement the SEO strategy for the organisation – involving both natural SEO and SEM.
• Manage keyword performance and recommend improvements to the website to increase results and ROI.
• Work with teams of web designers and portal developers to increase the searchability of the company’s commercial websites.

Requirements:

• Excellent writing and communication skills, an ingrained sense of attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Creativity and artistic flair, the ability to develop and evolve a company brand in consumer and business hi-tech marketing, particularly using on-line methods.
• A professional people-person who can communicate with enthusiasm at all levels, both internal and external.
• Understand the importance of customer service to create good customer relationships and high levels of satisfaction.
• Good data manipulation/transformation skills.

General Duties:

• Live and breathe the Internet and understand why customers are on-line and what they want to do.
• Uphold core values at all times.
• Working through the “Workplace” environment.
• Understand the ‘ClueTrain Manifesto’ at www.cluetrain.org and its impacts for on-line marketing.

Desired Skills:

• Creativity and a passion for innovative e-marketing.
• PR experience and copy writing.
• Keen to learn marketing principles.
• Good commercial awareness.
• Strong organisational skills, able to work under time pressure.
• Ability to work with figures and work out founded recommendations.
• Reliable, well-organised, accurate, results-orientated.
• Graduate calibre academic background ideally with a degree in Marketing, Business Management, Mathematics and Statistics or a relevant subject.
• 1 years marketing experience in B2C and or B2B, ideally with experience in internet, telecoms, utilities or consumer services.
• Experience of website publishing and measurement tools, such as content management systems or web analytic software (e.g. Webtrends) would be advantageous but training will be provided.
