Marketing Executive

PlusNet plc are currently recruiting for a Marketing Executive within their e-marketing department.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Research and analysis
• Assist in the collection and analysis of marketing information as required, both within our existing customer base and our target audiences.

Communications & PR
• Assist the team to deliver effective and evolving communications to new and existing customers that build loyalty and value.
• Produce accurate and appropriate copy and communications for the web, email marketing, newsletters, service announcements and online advertising.
• Assist in the running of the press office, proactive and reactive brand building PR campaigns.
• Assist in the tactical implementation of all electronic, print or other promotional collateral, or other items that increase brand awareness and recognition, revenue, margin or that decrease overall costs.

Online marketing
• Support the implementation and management of online marketing campaigns (including but not limited to: affiliate marketing, search engine marketing, online advertising) by working with vendors and partners.
• Identify, develop and manage partner campaigns to drive sales and conversion and maintain positive relationships through regular contact with key partner contacts (account management + technical).
• Drive and execute partner campaigns including problem solving during planning and execution and by keeping partners informed on the latest product news, promotions and offers.
• Produce regular and ad-hoc reporting on partner campaign performance (together with the web analyst).
• Follow-up activities to understand effectiveness and provide recommendations for future activities.

Measurement
• Assist in the collection and analysis of marketing information as required, both within our existing customer base and our target audiences.
• Assist with measurement of impact / return on investment from marketing activities.
• Follow-up activities to understand effectiveness and provide recommendations for future activities.

General Duties:

• Live and breathe the Internet and understand why customers are online and what they want to do.
• Keep abreast of industry / market news and competitor activity. Attend events where necessary.
• Uphold PlusNet core values at all times.
• Working through the “Workplace” environment.
• Attendance of and input into Marketing team meetings.
• EOD reporting, completion of timesheets and other daily administrative tasks as the Business requires from time to time.


Desired Skills:

• Excellent writing and communication skills, an ingrained sense of attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are also necessary.
• Problem solving and strong analytical skills.
• Good commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage several different accounts and their requirements, managing expectations and proactively consider innovative ideas.
• A professional people-person who can communicate with enthusiasm at all levels, both internal and external.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other content editing software.
• The ability to work comfortably individually and as part of a Team.
• Time-planning in order to effectively communicate with line managers expected timelines.
• Creativity and a passion for innovative e-marketing.
• Keen to learn marketing principles.
• Good data manipulation/transformation skills.
• Experience of working with style guides and communication briefs.
• Strong organisational skills, able to work under time pressure.
• Ability to work with figures and work out founded recommendations.
• Reliable, well-organised, accurate, results-oriented.
• Awareness of the ISP industry, competitor ISPs and internet connectivity technologies.
• Graduate academic background is not essential but may be useful within the following disciplines: Marketing, Business Management or a relevant subject.
